Lack Of Posts

I’d just like to apoligize that within the last few months that there has been a lack of posts.  I’ve been busy getting life in general sorted with moving again. I know live 3 hours away from my home town so I’ve just been gettin jobs, living costs and university sorted. Also would like to mention that I do not have access to internet in my flat [pictured above] as of yet.

However I am at home at this present moment in time so updates shall occur.

Any Minute Now

Well as you can see the site has had a revamp. I decided to go with this layout instead of making my own which was something that I don’t usually do. I suppose before it was my pride getting in my way of using a theme that of which someone else had made. But it’s here now and I couldn’t of done it any better of myself. In the next couple of days new music reviews will be up and new movies will be added to the list.

The Weather In Scotland

Today seemed rather interesting. I went to the flat with my flat mate and enjoyed the good weather down here in Perth. Never get enough of it in Scotland really. But then I started to realize…..what is the perfect weather?
It seems that when it’s too hot, we tend to complain about it. And when it’s too cold we do the exact same.
What would be the perfect day for you?

What Can Pass Art In The Modern Day?

After reading an article [click] on the website Digg. I then signed the petition to stop the “artist” doing the same again and it got me thinking - what can actually pass as art nowadays? If starving a dog to death is passed as art rather than animal cruelty then so could things such as bombing buildings and torturing unwilling people. It seems like humans are persistent on trying to find new shock values, and if they can somehow call it art the Officials will not frown upon it.

Student Lives

The other day I read an Online Journal of one of my friends. She was recently writing about students, and the way how adults call these “the best days of our lives”. But when you do look at it these days are mostly just money and study obsessed.

I’ve been a student for almost two years now and I can see where people are coming from. My brother was a student for four years and he had to work his own way for food/electricity/internet however my parents paid the rent. We were lucky compared to some students of whom have to pay for their own rent AND food/electricity/internet. I don’t see how some people can manage to work about two to three jobs and study at the same time, I’ve seen first hand how it effects any students studying plan.
I myself have applied for a student loan from the government, however how on earth do they expect me to live on £92 a month where I don’t receive any money from my parents apart from rent and I am unemployed. They base these loans on parents income and estimate how much our parents are meant to give to us but how do they KNOW that they are actually going to lend us that amount. Roughly around 40% of students of whom do not receive money from their parents are meant to receive at least over £2500 from them. In which cases they don’t receive any money at all so therefore they don’t get a big enough loan or bursary from the government.

So as far as “the best days of our lives” goes, it’s just a saying that the elder generation speak of their time. A lot of students actually come out of education into a job that doesn’t even have anything to do with their last 3-4 years of studying. This has me thinking that is it right that at the age of about 13-15 that we choose our career that we want to partake for the rest of our lives? If in the end we just leave our education to go into a job we have no knowledge or interest in from the past 5-8 years.

2 Weeks Later

Been two weeks since I received my new laptop. This replaces my old laptop that got smashed in the car accident. And I’m not complaining about it. The specs are so much higher, hell their even better than what my PC is. So I’ve mostly been doing everything on here, apart from Graphics Designs since I have found that touchpad mouses are annoying to use.
So basically, these are the specs I went from and to:

Acer Laptop:
AMD 2.4GHz Centinro CPU
512MB RAM
80HDD
14.1″ Screen
Built In Microphone

Samsung Laptop:
Intel Mobile 2.0GHz Core 2 Duo
2GB RAM
160HDD
14.1″ Crystal Clear Screen
Built In Webcam + Microphone
Bluetooth
DVD RW Lightscribe

So basically Windows Vista can run on it fine now.
On another note, today I left my job at Debenhams as a Gift Advisor over the Xmas period and I’m going to be starting at Currys on Monday; it’s more my kind of thing rather than Home & Kidsware.

I find this site to bevery usefull. I like the way its set out n everything, but it’s not just the look I like it’s full of handy tips.

One of the most recent 10 Ways To Make Today Your Best Day Ever was interesting. I didn’t think that anyone would ever think that you could make ONE day better than all the rest of your whole live ever. I’ve started doing these 10 actions a day. Still haven’t got round to doing the uncluttering…really should seeing as the flat is a mess.

But I defs reccomend this site for little things on how to improve your life
