This week we’re going for more of the acoustic artists, the first being Brett Dennon. I never had heard of him before on an episode of Scrubs in series 6. He was featured in an episode that of which fitted perfectly to his music. Afterwards I thought I’d purchase his CD to check it out. And I was surprised, it was wonderful. With the opening song of “Ain’t No Reason” with brilliant lyrics and extremely catchy melody. At first this was the type of music I thought the album would be through out but going from a slow piece to different pace of songs it is an extremely enjoyable album. To me personaly to some of his songs there is a certain sounding cheek to it which to me creates easy listening.

Joshua Radin - Why Were Here (2006)
Another artist I discovered through watching Scrubs. The very first song I had heard by this artist was that the title of “Winter”. It was featured in probably one of the most amazing and moving episodes of Scrubs ever. I then checked out Radin’s myspace and I continued to enjoy is songs, over at first I was a bit hesitant on a few of his songs, but after a couple of listens I couldn’t get enough. The man has a very unique voice and personally to me I can pick it out from a mile off. He doesn’t have alot of complicated gutiar playing, infact it is probably one of the least amount of instruments that u generally hear throught the album. He does the smart idea of double tracking his voice in his songs and this just creates the mood and atmosphere of his music, it’s just like this beautiful thing singing you to sleep and I would enjoy listening to this artist any day of the week.

Colin Hay - Going Somewhere (2001)
A man thats been in the music industry for years has most recently become one of my favourite song writers. Colin HAy ex member of Men At Work of whom did the classic single “Land Down Under”. If you don’t remember it I suggest youtube it and you’ll know exactly who I’m talking about. Ofcourse Colin Hay has been doing his solo act for years now but I never really took notice of him. YET again through Scrubs I discovered him, on the start of an episode where JD is followed by a man playing a guitar. Most people know what I’m talking about. However after checking his Myspace I decide to purchase this CD. And to me personally this man can create the most simplest songs ever but yet have then intise you and it’s hard to get enough of it. From songs such as Beautiful World to Waiting For My Real Life To Begin this album is extremely enjoyable. The simple chord progressions with enjoyable lyrics is something to attract anyone to this
